Hu\u00eds de un pa\u00eds y lleg\u00e1s a otro. Cuando est\u00e1s all\u00ed, no ten\u00e9s pasaporte, ni fotos, ni papeles, ni documentos que prueben qui\u00e9n sos y por qu\u00e9 te fuiste. S\u00f3lo tu cuerpo y tu historia. La convenci\u00f3n del Estatuto de los Refugiados de 1951 establece que cualquier persona perseguida por cuestiones raciales, religiosas, de nacionalidad, que pertenezca a un grupo social o adhiera a determinada opini\u00f3n pol\u00edtica, tiene el derecho de solicitar asilo. Del proceso de aplicaci\u00f3n, el momento crucial es la entrevista en la que un oficial estatal, un int\u00e9rprete y el solicitante se encuentran a puertas cerradas. Por dos o tres horas, la credibilidad del solicitante es evaluada seg\u00fan sus palabras y gestos, y todo es registrado por escrito como en una peque\u00f1a obra de c\u00e1mara. \u00bfC\u00f3mo dec\u00eds lo que quieren escuchar? \u00bfQu\u00e9 gestos, silencios o emociones determinan tu destino? \u00bfC\u00f3mo cont\u00e1is una historial cre\u00edble a alguien que s\u00f3lo ve tu pa\u00eds en Google Maps?<\/p>

\u201cWhat They Want to Hear\u201d \u00a0es una reconstrucci\u00f3n del caso real de Raaed Alkour, un arque\u00f3logo sirio, que qued\u00f3 atrapado en la burocracia alemana sin estatus por a\u00f1os. Un proyecto en colaboraci\u00f3n con refugiados, actores, activistas sirios y alemanes sobre el arte de narrar historias en una \u00e9poca en que los bordes se est\u00e1n cerrando.<\/p>
